Early College Academy – North Arlington High School students could be the first in the area to qualify for a free college degree during their junior year. The district has budgeted approximately $58,000 for the 2017-18 school year for about 20 students to attend the program, partnering with Bergen Community College and New Jersey City State University. The program will allow juniors to embark on their associate degrees in high school attending Bergen Community College, and then go on to New Jersey City State University after high school graduation to garner a BA or BS degree – at no or lowered cost to students making certain grade-point averages.
