Families from Washington Avenue School in Pleasantville participate in a literacy project called Summer Splash: a Literacy and Multi-media Experience. The parents of third graders are given tools to encourage their children to read recreationally when school is not in session. This program was funded through an NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation grant.
