Interactive Design
Synopsis
Interactive Design – Students at the Bergen County Academy, Hackensack Campus, are encouraged to bring their wildest dreams to class so they can engineer a way to make them a reality. Imagine walking around Elis Island without leaving your classroom? Students are developing the life-like video tours of Elis Island. By putting on a headset, the viewer can walk around the immigrant inspection station and in the future talk to animated immigrants as you go from room to room. The Interactive Design class is an interdisciplinary project that uses software such as Maya by Autodesk and Unity 3D to develop experiences that are output via Oculus Rift headsets.
