The Education Project
Synopsis
The Education Project – Middlesex County Vocational School, the oldest full-time vocational school in the nation, is celebrating its centennial! Originally vocational schools were in response to the industrial age – and the schools looked like factories. Students who were not college bound could get training to enter directly into the workforce. As society changed, the schools started broadening the trades that were offered. While vocational schools do have a significant special needs component, they are currently offering high tech skills like Performing Arts & Dance Studio, Digital filmmaking, Art and Design (3D) Architectural Drafting, and so much more. The school has five campuses in East Brunswick, Edison, Perth Amboy, Piscataway and Woodbridge.
