Peace Zone – North Main St. Elementary School in Pleasantville has a Peace Zone designed to create a new culture where the peaceful, non-violent process becomes an intrinsic part of the child and of the classroom. Fourth grade teacher Jayne Dempsy developed the program 10 years ago and wrote books for teachers, students and families in both English and Spanish.
