Relationships Beyond the Classroom – The emphasis of Camden’s Big Picture Learning Academy is Rigor, Relationships and Relevance, and Social studies teacher Frank Epifanio Jr knows first-hand the importance of developing relationships. Mr. Epifanio spent mornings, prep and lunch time to help Miguel Martinez through the challenging haze of obtaining citizenship. The history teacher volunteered hours to help Miguel study and even drove his student to take the test and attend the swearing in ceremony. Martinez is the first person in his family to become a U.S. citizen and he is attending Rowan University.
