Find Your Voice – Secaucus Middle School educator Toni-Ann Palmisano teaches math but her involvement with extracurricular activities is what made her a Milken Award Winner. She is Yearbook and Student Government adviser in addition to bringing math lessons to an exciting level. Music and media figure prominently in her curriculum, and videos from PBS Learning, Scholastic Study James or Math Antics make math fun! She strives to create a school culture in which acceptance is appreciated and encouraged and believes strongly that extracurricular outlets help children succeed when stress or challenges arise.
