2017 Milken Educator – Milken Educator Lindsay Frevert of Van Derveer Elementary in Somerville invests in her students with a positive energy and engaging lessons. She gets to know the whole child – both at school and outside the classroom. Lindsey attends sports events and performances after school to show her support of her students. She also leads Walking Wednesdays that goes through the town gathering students in the morning as they head to school. The activity promotes exercise, and encourages relationships between students that might not have occurred otherwise.
