In an effort to boost math scores in New Jersey, NJEA facilitated a Center for Teaching and Learning and awarded three grants for middle school math teachers. Fanny Rittenberg School in Egg Harbor City received one of the grants allowing the math teachers to set up a professional learning community. They have access to a math fellow to transform their math instruction, and in a short time, they’ve already seen results.
