Students at Garfield School in Kearny celebrate cultural diversity by joining a first-, third-, and sixth- grade class on a yearlong study of cultures and customs. Join these students as they celebrate the Chinese New Year with a play, a parade, and a Chinese feast you’ll never forget. The goal of this project is to reduce violence and prejudice through cultural understanding. This program was funded through an NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation grant.
