ESL Magazine
Synopsis
Millburn High School, located in a highly skilled, professional community, discovered a large population of immigrants who speak English as a second language. In an effort to address the feelings of isolation, teacher Marilyn Feldman organized her students to produce an ESL Literary Magazine. The goal is to share the creative writing skills of the students and document life experiences of recent immigrants. This program was funded through an NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation grant.
