Italian Curriculum – Parents at Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing requested the school to offer a course on Italian American heritage and culture. The school now offers the curriculum that meets the common core and PARCC skills thanks to a curriculum created by the Department of Education’s Italian and Italian American Heritage Commission. Over 70 lessons and videos are available for New Jersey educators. The lessons include a larger lesson on anti-immigrant messages that are prevalent in today’s political atmosphere.
