JA Finance Park – Camden High School students face adult-life situations during a visit to the JA Finance Park in Newark. The students are assigned a debit card, marital status, children, job, salary and taxes. The reality-based program is offered to schools at no cost, providing teachers with the resources and support they need to ensure their students effectively meet the New Jersey’s core curriculum content standards and graduation requirements in financial literacy. This year the curriculum has been updated and each student has a personal tablet to enhance the budgeting experience and allow for more meaningful dialogue between students and volunteers.
