Leading Education – With all the attacks on public education, it’s important to spend the final show of this season focusing on the facts. Fact: New Jersey writing scores for 8th grade rank number one out of all 50 states. Fact: Advanced Placement scores are also at the top of the list. New Jersey schools rank among the top in dozens of categories, and simply put, they are the best in the nation.
To recap this season, we will revisit some of the outstanding people who make the public schools work. We’ll talk to the state’s top teacher Danielle Kovach, Newark principal and NJEA member Baruti Kafele, and cafeteria manager Patricia Lieberman, for their insights on what makes a great school.
