Pirate Night – “How I Became a Pirate” is the theme of a Family Literacy Night at Charles Harker Elementary School in Woolwich Township. The evening begins with reading the book about a pirate. The parents and their children go from station to station learning activities that focus on literacy skills. This teaches the child literacy development and also helps the parents discover ideas to use at home.
