S.T.R.E.A.M.: KEEPING IT REAL!

Season 2017-18
Engineering

Synopsis

S.T.R.E.A.M.: KEEPING IT REAL! – S.T.R.E.A.M. is an acronym for Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Each year, the fifth and sixth grade Gifted and Talented students in the Fort Lee Elementary schools continue to make the engineering design process happen by engaging in unique STREAM team projects. The students helped design an innovative, functional bench that will be displayed in a prominent location in a public space in Ft. Lee. They also helped design a game in the playground, and a functional hand by working as biomedical engineers to design, build, and test their own hand “gripper” prototypes that can grasp and lift a 200 ml cup of sand.
