We’ll visit a science center at Central Elementary School in Somerville. The state-of-the-art center has an aquarium, a hydro-ponic garden, animal habitats, a biosphere, a planetarium and a computerized weather station. Teachers at Central School have found that hands-on science is more effective than a textbook-driven curriculum.
