VFL – Students at Howell High School in Farmingdale play a new kind of football. It’s the Vocabulary Football League. This unique program is modeled after the NFL, and student ‘players’ are drafted to NFL teams where they compete for points on their vocabulary tests. The strength of the VFL is that it encourages both cooperative learning through teamwork and individual achievement through competition.
