Wearable Art – A Project Runway style event makes its way to Heritage Middle School in Livingston. The Family and Consumer Science teachers team up with the art teachers for an all-day, in-school field trip. The students design and create accessories such as hats, shoes, purses and belts that can be worn or used as a prototype. After the students design the accessories, they write an artist statement and they are judged by Jennifer Siletski of the NJ School of Fashion and Design. The winner received a scholarship to a course at the school.
