The Academy of Teaching and Learning is a teacher lead, teacher directed organization that facilitates professional learning through free online resources and interactive meetings. The Cumberland County Academy winter meeting focuses on data analysis which allows teachers to use data to drive instruction. This allows teachers to target student weaknesses to improve learning success. Cumberland is one of six counties operating such academies, which are funded by a grant from the Dodge Foundation.
