Defying the Norm – Two students from the Monmouth County Vocational High Technology High School in Lincroft are defying the norm in science. James Ting and Janie Gu are recognized by the Davidson Institute for Talent Development for their exemplary work in science. James worked on a system to harness electrons to act as building blocks for quantum computers. Janie tested measurements of magnetic noise. Her work has applications in the military, medicine, information storage, mineral and oil detection space exploration and fundamental physic experiments
