DONATE – Donate Organs Now Awareness Team for Education is a Hipp Grant project that was developed in response to a student with special needs who is waiting for a kidney transplant. Most of the district’s students are unaware of the dire need for tissue and organ donations or the fact that five thousand people in New Jersey are on a waiting list hoping to receive the gift of life. A 5K Life Celebration Walk at the Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington benefit multiple organizations including the NJ Sharing Network, Be the Match and Pantene Beautiful Lengths Hair Donation. Learning disabled students from the Warren Hills Regional Middle School organize and run the event.
