Retiring after 36 years of teaching, Freddie George is being honored for her lifetime of dedication in the Willingboro public schools. As the first African American to teach in Willingboro, hundreds of former students share the impact that Freddie has had as an educator and a role model. Joining in the celebration of Freddie’s career is her nephew Carl Lewis, a nine-time Olympic gold medallist in track and field.
