Journeys – Third graders at Harrison School in Roselle learn about the Native American Trail of Tears, the Underground Railroad, and the history of European migration at the turn of the century. Applying their new knowledge, students research their own families’ journeys to the United States through interviews and photographs and learn to retell stories from their native country. This program was funded by an NEA Foundation Grant.
