Dunn Middle School in Trenton is involved with a program called Kids Intervention with Kids in School. KIKS is a school-based program that is a nationally recognized substance abuse and teen pregnancy prevention program. Through peer leadership, KIKS fosters self-esteem and encourages constructive decision-making and conflict resolution. This program was developed by the Children’s Home Society of New Jersey, a non-profit children’s agency, in collaboration with the school districts.
