Synopsis

Lessons at Waterloo - The eighth annual Clean Communities Environmental Student Exchange focuses on issues related to the history of preserving the environment. They discuss litter, dumping and the proper handling of waste at the Morris Canal Greenway Train and the Musconetcong River. Students from Frelinghuysen and Williamstown Middle schools travel to the Waterloo Village where they visit the Winakung Lenape Village exhibits and learn how Native American’s approached the environment. They also explore transportation of the 19th century - which included the canal and railroads.
