Manville Reads Across America – Every year schools across the country celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a celebration, and Manville School District is making it a special focus this year. The school district is making it a goal to increase the number of children reading on grade level from 55 to 80 percent. The school wants to address the reading challenges of their diverse and low-income population with a variety of reading incentives, rewards programs and activities, like drop everything and read. The school uses reading logs and the classes compete against each other.
