Synopsis

The courtyard at the Lucy Holman Elementary in Jackson has been turned into an Outdoor Classroom, after six years of hard work by the students, teachers and community. The school has been named the “Wildest School Site” by the Dept. of Fish, Game and Wildlife for its conservation efforts. By using the Core Curriculum Standards, the students through the use of the courtyard learn about ecology, plus critical thinking and problem solving.
